My gums are sensitive and a bit receeded I need to brush right to the gums to get all the stuff off but it makes my gums bleed so either way something bad happens how do I fix this?
>>
Use a softer brush

Would that not make it worse at brushing off sugar?
>>
first of all stop making your gums bleed because they don't regenerate EVER

second of all: >>84748779 and brush lightly, generally if you "feel" anything while brushing you are brushing too hard

third: find someone you love and tell them gums don't regenerate and that most recession is caused by hard brushing. I WISH someone told me this earlier, I would have been so gentle. THIS IS SOMETHING THEY SHOULD TEACH IN SCHOOLS

instead I heard stuff like "wounds in the mouth heal quickly" and thought that meant gums too

It's sugar, you don't need to go hard
There is toothpaste for sensitive gums too and the most important thing is floss anyway

Are you for real? I was told harder is better as a kid and my gums are for sure receding. Fuuuck, that's why?
>>
Your guns are sensitive and bleed because you don't brush and floss, lil nigga.

It used to be pretty bad but for a few months I have been brushing 2 times a day most days, if I don't do it twice then I'll do it once but usually twice

yup... the gums for one of my front teeth is more receded than the other and it's noticeable when I smile T_T
also my father has hard receding gums from smoking and there's basically nothing he can do about them now, gums don't regenerate...

other tips: when brushing don't do the forward/backward side to side action on the the gum line. Instead angle the brush and lift upwards from the bottom to the top, it's less abrasive. In other words: just be gentle!

also: circular patterns are the most abrasive, so never do that!

I'd also suggest using straws and washing your mouth out with water after drinking anything acidic or sugary. Don't sip on drinks, sit down and drink the drink and then go wash your mouth out

Seems obvious, but you should get a toothbrush with extra soft bristles. Thanks to vanity sizing, medium means hard.

Anon, do you floss? Flossing is not optional. YOU HAVE TO FLOSS. Like the other anons suggested, never use a hard toothbrush. You also have to floss at least once a day. Me personally I like to use a water floss to suppliment. You can get one of those handheld waterflossers for like 30 bucks.
You know about gum recession. But the reason you're bleeding is probably also because you have gum disease. This is due to plaque buildup that od . This can also cause gum recession. Like the other anons are saying, gums dont regenerate. Matter of fact, these are the main reasons people lose their teeth.

Go to your mirror. Look at your gums near your teeth. Are they flat, or do they bulge out a little, are they swolen? How swolen? Look at picrel and compare. You're most likely only at the stage of gingivitis, and that is fixable. This is the ruitine I would suggest for you.

-Brush at least morning and night gently for 3 minutes.
-Floss at least once, I think night is best.
-Optional: use a water floss in the morning, or twice a day. I would suggest this it you have difficulty reaching certain places, like impacted wisdom teeth or jagged teeth.
-Optional: use hydrogen peroxide mouthwash, be wary, it can make your teeth sensitive.
-Optional: brush your teeth gently after every meal. Generally this is not necessary but helps with hygiene and fresh breath. If you eat alot of sugar, or acidic foods, I would suggest this.

Remember! Consistency is key! Your gums will bleed at first, but the more you do it the less they will bleed until you have managed the gum disease. And visit a dentist

Good luck!
