Asians and white people are obviously more similar to each other than most other races, especially japanese people and americans. However I also think I probably wouldn't go after a japanese girl. There are lots of problems with that like
1. Language barrier
2. Living situation. Japan and the US are pretty far
3. Significant cultural differences do still exist and can make things hard
4. Hapa kids often say they feel alienated from both of their parents' cultures, and I wouldn't want to do that to my kid
