got released from the loony bin. i realize now that the boredom, lack of places where i can be alone, and lack of a proper desk was traumatizing. now that i'm out i appreciate many things i didn't, but a certain pain inside me is awakened by many things as well. i was there for less than a month and i've already caught several habits.
These fuckers are saying I'd sexually assault someone if I wasn't put in a mental institution , because of the multi sex species. Israelis
What are those habits?
ex-prisoners/loonies:did you read more books when you were inside, or when you were released?
>>84752855Why do you keep making this thread with the same image
>>84753141I read 5 books in my last mental hospital visit i mean wtf else are u supposed to do
> realize now that the boredom, lack of places where i can be alone, and lack of a proper desk was traumatizing.Well no shit. It's what I've been saying since forever. Yet, I'm always dismissed. I have severe PTSD since I found out I always had ADHD but misdiagnosed so without any sort of stimulation, I'm fucking bored. TV is boring as hell. I could not read because my brain skips ahead. Go into this shit places, and there's absolutely nothing to do. The staff have no sense of respect and you are treated subhuman. The meals are absolute shit that make you gain a shit ton of weight due to the amount of csrbs in it, but you cannot exercise it off because "safety concerns" despite the fact that exercise is one of the best fucking things you can do for your mental health. Then the meds they put you on are most of the time ineffective, then you are accused of lying or cheeking your meds. No, it's because the diagnosis is wrong and they wanted to go with the le depression, le anxiety, le mood disorder, etc instead of doing a proper evaluation. Oh, the side effects are horrendous. But that's okay: give me the liver toxic clozaril, and keep upping it. Why not jist pair it with lithium, abilify, geodon, lamitcal, and invega all in combination. Oh, it's not working? Stop cheeking your meds and lying!Oh, and imagine being sensory sensitive with an autism disorder and having issues with personal space. Your room mate is snoring insanely loud and is only 5 feet from you? Too fucking bad. Holy fucking shit. Why are people not listening? These stories like mine are very common. Hospitalizations are a fucking joke.T. Four hospitializations.
>first jailwas the girl cute?
>>84752855Bump. Share some more psych ward stories.
>>84753126expecting the lights to turn on and the water taps to close by themselves, never relaxing completely in my room because roommate is there or might come in at any moment, being extra aware of the time and battery charge when i'm using my computer or phone because we're not allowed to have chargers and the staff are a fucking nightmare to get to do anything for you, and other things of the sort.>>84753141reading was probably my top activity by time spent
>>84753141Yeah I read two books In the hospital I was in for over a year. The giver and the red pyramid
>>84753517Can you tell us more about what being in a psych ward is like.
>>84753153>>84753514thanks for the answers, anons. you could live some self-imposed 'as if i'm in prison, except i can go anywhere' life. but a lot of us struggle with routines or limits, like exercising or reading every day.if you threw me in a cell with my backlog of books, i'd get through them (instead of reading 4chan instead). i feel like a month in prison, and i'd learn more than i have in my entire post-academic adult life. like a detox with self-improvement attached.
>>84753517If you liked the Egyptian theming of The Red Pyramid maybe you should watch Stargate
>>84753144it's just a good image, it represents pretty well what my room was like, except there were 2 beds and instead of a table it was some shitty almost unusable...object, that i didn't bother with anyway because roommate
