They appears like they are empty vessels that just regurgitate whatever is in front of them on whatever screen they are staring at. Has anyone else noticed this? The "feed" is the thing they attach themselves to and consume and they talk about whatever is in their "feed". They all do this. I've observed this it's just the 'latest thing' they talk for a few days and then another 'latest thing' happens. And in between those 'latest things' it's mountains of content they consume.
If you wanted to and if you could, you would be able to drop something in the 'feed' of 20,000 people and they'd all be talking about it in a few hours.
>>84755859I'm a firm believer in Total Hylic Death. They're holding us back as a civilisation and the excuse that they're somehow needed to grease the wheels doesn't wash with me anymore.
They enjoy being part of a community and have an out group they shun and/or dislike while occasionally harboring curiosity towardsSound familiar?
>>84755879They don't seem to be builders because they don't seem to be thinkers. They always said to me I was 'over-thinking' and 'thinking-too-much'. I found that strange as much of the greatest achievements of humanity arrived via thinking deeply about many various things. Am I wrong? It sounds weird as they weren't thinking much at all and I was then having to reflect on that and I could only draw one logical conclusion which is that thinking, in any form, is to be avoided. Just consume. But then so many are miserable by the time they're in their late 20s, mid 30s, early 40s etc. It's hard to wish to follow them and do as they do.
>>84755934When you say 'community' are you using that in the weakest sense, like, a bio-film has formed to separate them from the outer more liquid form that they're immersed in - and by the nature of that bio-film existing - the mass is now considered a 'community'? Or do they actually have genuine dynamic qualities that are found in a high-value community? Things that are active and generative? Because these days a 'community' appears to be something that can emerge when people simply share a similar interest, but actually being able to rely on those people for anything in terms of assistance, or generative value, is questionable. But also the way you wrote what you wrote makes it sound like perhaps they're in a cult. I'm curious for more of your thoughts.
