Actually, that's not true, Hugh Jackman had to take steroids when he played Wolverine in the first movie. The role originally went to some other actor (Russell Crowe, I think) but he dropped out of the project at the last minute, so they cast Hugh Jackman, who had to juice in order to add enough muscle before filming started
