Your favorite Top Ramen flavor says a lot about you. What was/is yours? Mine was always the blue, "Oriental" flavor, but I'd occasionally have the Chili Tomato when it was available.

I have never tried anything but chicken flavor. What does that say about me?
>>
I like beef
OP likes to think he's subversive saying oriental, possibly boomer, yearns for the past

You are a momma's boy and don't take any risks with personality or choices, no courage

Oh, leave me alone.

I loved Chicken too, to the extent that "Roast" chicken felt like eating gourmet.

thats literally what its called

It's not top ramen but there's this really cheap mi goreng ramen I get at the dollar store. Usually I prefer instant noodles with soup but this one is really good. I usually toss in some spiced ground beef as well and it comes together nicely.

They changed it to onions sauce boomer

You, friend, have exquisite taste. I'm similar. My favorites are the blue/"oriental"/onions sauce flavor and the chili flavor in the green pack.
I fucking love that the blue one was called "oriental" back in the 90's. We unironically, like actually need to bring that terminology back. They made "Asian" too vague.

If we're expanding this to other noodles we like, Soon's kimchi ramyun and Sapporo Ichiban's miso ramen are really good. Stinks up your whole NEET den to make them, though. Lived on that shit and energy drinks for literal ages.
Back when I was a kid, they had those cheesy cup noodles, too. Those were insanely salty but I must have run through like a million of them.

i swear i only saw the creamy chicken flavor one time in my life tried it and it was the greatest flavor i had ever tasted and then i never saw it in any store ever again.
chili is a second best but i wish the local stores had creamy chicken flavor.

Not OP but the blue pack is objectively the best one.
The chicken and beef flavors aren't just more savory, they visibly leave more oil in the broth. They're striving to be something they aren't, too, with their consumers adding in ground beef or an egg to add in an element that the flavor packet only imitates.
Between the beef and chicken flavors, though, the chicken one would still have to rank higher than the beef one just on sheer seniority. "Chicken ramen" was Momofuku Ando's original invention. That flavor has classic status automatically by leading the way for the others. The beef one is American tastebuds and macho insecurity bleeding through. It's the wish for a hamburger.
The onions sauce/"oriental" packet is what it is. It's salty, it's just a little umami, and it isn't pretending to stick to your ribs any more than it does. The flavor packet, spilled partially onto your NEET desk, stinks more than either the beef or chicken flavors do, but not in the weird way the shrimp one does. It tastes good, and it lends itself well to the noodles being ever-so-slightly al dente.
The chili packet is objectively really good, but stained in context and reputation. It's for normies who wanted Buldak Tiktok challenge ramen and jail inmates who have smoked too many cigarettes to appreciate other flavors than pain.
Shrimp preferrers are psychopaths.
