I have this guy, we've been each others best and basically only friends for over a year now. We're extremely extremely close.I have feelings for him, and usually im very straightforward and just tell people when i like them, but with us being so close im afraid me just saying "i like you and want to date, do you like me?" might endanger the friendship and make things weird. Hes a very nervous socially awkward dude, so i feel like if he did like me, hed probably be in the same situation im in, not wanting to ruin the friendship so not saying anything. I dont mind just being friends, i like him either way, so if it doesnt seem like hes interested ill just not mention it to him and keep being his friend. So how can i figure out if i have a chance and he likes me before actually committing? Any advice?
