>>84866815first off, are you a foid or a homosexual male? secondly, what's your favorite meal? that should inform you of where to start, because if you can't cook what you enjoy for yourself, you really can't expect to cook for another person competently.

>>84866976it breaks down into two groups for dudes: an entree meat/fish, and a couple good sides.the staples are steak, chicken, fish. three quick and easies for a foid (see: less competent than men) are:steak: season the steak with salt and pepper, rub with EVOO. let it sit covered in the refrigerator on a wire rack so air can circulate underneath for a few hours up to a couple of days (more time concentrates the beefy flavor and the salt penetrates into the muscle fibers more), then sear it on VERY HIGH HEAT, preferrably in a cast iron skillet or stainless steel. 6-7 minutes each side for medium rare at approx. 1 and 1/4" thick steak; leaner cuts cook fasterchicken- this is idiotproof; any simple marinade will work. For boneless skinless chicken breasts, either butterfly them/fillet them thin so they're even, or pound them flat. Score each side a tiny bit (like 1/16th of an inch) in a hex pattern if you want a bit of extra marinade penetration/flavorfish: fifteen seconds with fish is a lifetime. broil or bake whitefish fillets since you're a beginner; I like making a lemon shallot garlic pan sauce to drizzle; you can also bake fillets on top of thinly sliced lemon to impart some extra flavorsides- can't go wrong with any pasta, or simple oven roasted potatoes- get some baby reds, slice them into 6ths, steam the wedges for about 10-12 minutes, then put them in a pan with some butter, fresh minced garlic, parsley and dill; finish with fresh cracked black pepper and a dash of olive oil and saltthere's a shitton more but desu i don't feel like typing any more, that should get you started
