where is he? when was he last seen?
>>84868474grandpa moot. he died
>>84868474He, as well, knew too much
Figures the inventor of 4chan would be Internet savvy enough to complete erase his presence.
Supposedly he made a statement to "The Verge" in 2026 that he "did not make /pol/ because epstein told him to" but i do not believe that article is real at all or that they ever talked to moot. I believe it is a complete fabrication. And very suspicious. He may be dead.

It's Acne Lavine getting a facial.
he ran off to Google in Japan, my guess is he got there because of his internet cred, not because he was a skilled developer. he lost his job after a few years (and/or they just didn't renew his contract). from the last Q&A/podcast he did, it's obvious he wasn't into anime and shit any more. sometimes people would ask in threads and he'd say, "oh yeah i saw a couple episodes of Kill La Kill last year, i liked it."he went the 'tech bro' route, Canvas flopped (Facebook Connect? FUCKING REALLY, moot???)in this day and age where people comb through users' old internet posts, he has a lot of 'problematic' shit to be worried about. the domain on his old blog lapsed earlier this year. he's probably just living off the trust fund money he started 4chan with: it took me forever to realize that's how these internet kids could afford Wacom tablets and server hosting etc.
moot will return
>>84868474Wtf? Nigga looks so old.
>>84869995he'll come back on some weird kick, though. either he's a grubby little businessman, or he 'disavows' his language and behaviors in the past.i've grown softer with age (just have, never gave a shit about /pol/ stuff anyway). but moot will either decide he's a hardcore Christian, or that it was WRONG to encourage racism/homophobia/transphobia.screenshot this post.

>>84869523He never claimed to be a skilled developer. He was always open about being ass with code. His skills were in administration and management but he kept pissing off his staff by berating them in his perpetual bad mood, so the quality of said skills varies. He was excellent at making connections and open about being both an artfag and macfag. He was also open about not having been heavily into anime for a long while but clearly having more than a bit of yellow fever. Facebook Connect was a baffling decision to try to make sure people wouldn't raid his new website he was using venture capital for, but the far stranger business choice here was to replicate Encyclopedia Dramatica's failure with Oh Internet that he had just seen crash and burn months before, even speaking to GirlVinyl about it. Why would anyone trust the 4chan guy they associate only with porn and hacking with their children? Why would any 4chan users want to use a website that looked like it was geared towards kindergarteners? Why would he take a website known for collaborative text and image play and try to make it something where you could barely speak to each other? The fuck was up with the sticker concept, that was just infantilizing. And then doubling down with Drawquest and locking it on iOS? I didn't even know that was his site until last year. Confused it with Draw Something the entire time. Didn't help Anonymous was kicking up a fuss the entire time he was doing this. This wasn't his first attempt at different ventures anyway, and it was strange to keep it all so top secret. 4chan was largely actually excited for it at the time until they saw what it was once it was public. Also early on he outright dressed like a prep school brat, had taken trips out of the country, and had videos of him wakeboarding. Not hard to figure out he wasn't living paycheck to paycheck in a trailer. He was a crisis manager by circumstance. 4chan was never meant to some massive political and cultural force.
