I can't fucking sleep and I see Why people hate insomnia. I'm so exhausted yet my fucking body just can't sleep and I'm becoming brain dead by the second but my stupid body just won't sleep, my fucking eye bags are huge. Why is there no cure for this bullshit? Like 24 hour debt recovery pills? My brain hurts so much but I can't sleep. I'm unironically gonna fucking die over this. Fucking pathetic body can't just go into rem sleep on its own.

Valerian is given to benzo junkies looking to get clean to help with withdrawals and sleep because it functions similarly to said benzos from what i understand. You don't want to use it at high doses for prolonged periods because it can give you withdrawals itself, you can get insomnia and anxiety like the junkies except milder. Tea realistically is nowhere near as strong as the pills you can get but you should still take a break once in a while, just to be sure. It has been used in local folk medicine too as a sleep aid and when my parents saw the box they immediately told me not to drink too much valerian tea because I'll start depending on it to fall asleep. Just swap it for chamomile/passionflower/lemon balm tea every now and again and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Linden tea is a very nice sleep tea too, I wanna shill it because it's genuinely underrated but it's a bit difficult to find. It tastes like what wood smells like, its a cool tea.

Go ask a doctor for a seroquel script, say you want to use it because you're having trouble sleeping. 20-25mg will knock you the fuck out.

Works too well if you ask me, gotta cut them in half sometimes and even then they wreck the shit out of me for two days.

Even if it's helpful advice you don't need to hear it when you're 72 hours deep into nosleep, it's just fucking obnoxious.
If I were you I would go to the hospital, that's what I do whenever I hit this point myself. Missing enough sleep can be life threatening. Get some pills to get you some actual shuteye tonight and worry about all that other shit like exercise and chamomile tea and poetry when you're not in fucking crisis anymore.

Okay, I went through a couple of weeks of insomnia for the first time in my life a little while back.
It was pretty bad. I recommend a few things:
STAY CALM. A big reason for me not sleeping was stress. Then I'd stress over not being able to sleep. And that'd lead to me being even less able to sleep. Lower that fucking cortisol, don't get angry.
EAT PROPERLY
(you already crashed out when someone gave you this advice lol)
CHANGE MINDSET. Go to bed with the mindset of things being okay. If you fall asleep you fall asleep. If not, you don't. Don't panic. It has been shown that people who sleep less but have the right mindset do a lot better than those who sleep less and have terrible thoughts. I'm not joking, if you say to yourself "I slept enough" you will do *much* better throughout the day , even if not at full performance. Just believe in it.
TRAUMA RELIEF EXERCISES. Look them up. No need to thank me later.
