My wife and I never fight. We usually get along very well. But, a couple hours ago my wife kinda blew up on me for not helping out around the house. We have a kid together and are trying to build a family. She is a stay at home mother and I am a full time breadwinner. I work monday thru friday and I have to bring work home almost every night to finish stuff. It is extremely stressful, but I make really good money, six figures easily. Anyways, we are going to leave for her family reunion on friday and stay all the way until next saturday. I asked her if we could leave saturday instead so I can finish some work and she lost it saying that she supports everything I do and it is so unfair that I ask for that. She then went on to say that I never help out with chores and am basically a bum. She thanked me for working for my family but said that I do absolutely nothing at home. But literally all I do is work, spend time with our child, then sleep. I have literally sacrificed everything and all my hobbies for my family. I feel like she just ripped out my heart for requesting something so little. She has never said anything like that before and I feel blindsided. I guess I just needed to vent but honestly want some opinions about this. Is this the fate of us wageslaves?
