>when asked if they would prefer a partner who earns more than them; 70% of female participants aged under 30 agreed that they would>but in a separate survey when asked if they would like to earn less money than their partner; only 17% of female participants under 30 agreed they would like to earn less than their partnerWhy are women like this? Serious there's so many example of this contradictory shit, is it just stemming from a solipsistic worldview? I'm convinced men and women in general fundamentally don't perceive themselves, others and in particular social obligations and expectations the same way men do.
Im going to the mall soon
It's not contradictory at all, nobody likes to "earn less"survey is retarded, probably made by a man because men are shit at that stuff. It turns men quite irrational, something as simple as a nothing survey
Having a boyfriend who earns more = having strong man who will provide you, and those traits are desirable for women. Earning less than your partner: having less value/worth than him (because money is value/worth), being inferior, being less empowered. And those things are undesirable and hurt the ego. They framed the same things in two distunct manners and this created two distinct responses in women because each perspective provokes a different emotion. Also, in the first survey the worth of the women isn't in question. It's a simple matter of having something desirable. But in the second survey they observe that having that desirable thing leads to their own selves becoming less worth, because now their worth (money making) is tied in a relative relation to an other, which ends up being superior, since he makes more money.
