Any anons here use a CPAP machineI might have to from now on, it's coming in the mail today and idk what to expect. Clinician just told me "it's automatic just turn it on when you sleep">inb4 fatassI'm 55kg, actually
>>84912536Make sure you have a good mask and nasal pillow, and if it has adjustable pressure set it higher than what you think you need
>>84912536I hope it helps you sleep betterGood sleep is so important
>>84912536No that isn't normal you're just a pedophile
It's weird the biological blind spots nature shows. Chickens kind of internally freak out if you pick them up while they are roosting, but are basically defenseless. Sun down means they don't get up and try to get away. Humans forget to breathe when they are asleep. This would be expected to btfo a species but somehow they survive.
Learn how to access clinician mode for your machine so you can change your pressure settings. It's likely that you'll feel like you aren't getting enough air if you leave it on stock settings. My machine (airsense11) was set to 4-20 on auto. After a few nights, I noticed I kept having events until I raised the pressure to a threshold where I stopped having events which allowed me to begin to sleep soundly again (change 4 to this number). Depending on your machine, it'll probably log what average pressure it was set to throughout the night to get you through the night . After like a week, try setting your pressure to whatever that number is +1/+2 (change 20 to this number). They hate when you self titrate your pressure values because then they don't get to make $500+ off of your appointment to test you for it in a sleep lab. You can get real autistic about it and get an SD card for your machine and it'll automatically log your sleep data and you can view it yourself in a software called OSCAR but so far for me it's been largely unhelpful and it seems like most people are just pretending to know what they are looking at when they look at their OSCAR data. Keep your Cpap machine lower than your bed to help avoid the possibility of moisture accumulating in your mask and waking you up. If you find the air is too cold and drying you out too much, try changing the humidity to a higher number. They also make hose covers/wraps to help insulate the hose to reduce rainout but it makes the hose a bit heavier feeling. Personally, I use a wrap with a heated tube set to a specific temperature and humidity for my area to avoid rainout which still occurs for me when set to auto for climate and temp. It seems like most people do fine with auto settings with a heated tube but you may have to experiment.

If you find it hard to exhale against the pressure, enable EPR and set it to 3. It'll make it so that when you exhale the pressure temporarily drops only on the exhale to help you exhale. Get some alcohol free wet wipes like Waterwipes and wipe down your mask every morning after you wake up then dump the remaining water out of the reservoir. Don't skip on cleaning your hose, mask, water tank, and the interface connector from the tank to the cpap if it's removable every week. Only use distilled water to prevent mineral buildup in the unit. Typical morning routine for me is 1. wipe down the mask, 2. dump the tank, 3. run the mask fit feature to blow air through the nose/mask to push out any residual moisture in the tube for like 15 minutes while I'm doing morning stuff. If you use the mask fit feature to blow air instead of just turning the machine on, it won't record the time it was on with mask fit to prevent messing with your sleep data. You probably will initially have your mask set too tightly on your face; you only need it tight enough so that it seals by slightly inflating when placed on your face. You'll know if you wake up with massive red marks on your face. If the red marks persist on your face, using a lanolin cream on the red areas during the day helped the skin stop being red. Wash your face before you use your mask to help prevent facial oils accumulating on the mask. It took me about a month to sleep longer than 3 hours uninterrupted but now I'm up to ~6 hours uninterrupted before I have to get up to use the bathroom instead of the 3-5 times before cpap. You might still feel tired when starting cpap and still might crave a nap even when you get a decent block of sleep. My understanding is this is some kind of "sleep debt" in the form of your body catching up on the rest it wasn't getting before. If you do take a nap be sure to use your cpap. Good luck. I hope you sleep well and figure out what settings you need to use quickly to get rest.
>>84912536I have one. Don't believe them, you need to experiment with the flow rate, EPR and mask types to get optimal treatment.
>>84912729It's a condition called being 170cm tall and skinny
>>849130975'7 and 120 lbs is not skinny and should not cause averse health effects.
>>84913097But we're the same height and weight and I don't need a machine to breathe, are you stupid?
Couldn't tolerate that shit, turn around too much
Sleepcels don't get it, Chad is elephantmaxxing.
>>84913120I didn't say it would>>84913112most CPAP users are heavy, either muscular with big heavy necks (minority) or fat necked (majority)
>>84912536my brother has one, get used to red mask marks on your face and start using mouthwash too because his breath smells like shit
>>84913180I was mad at my stepmom one day and cummed in the base of the tube where it detaches from the machine. I think it actually improved her breath. Cocksucking bitch, breathed cum while she sleeps. She broke my xbox to punish me for something her illegitimate bastard child of a whore did.
>>84912536Get a real job fed, you suck.
It's weirdam I supposedbto breathe out through my nose? Feels like a lot of resistance thereStill, feels good to take breaths that feel full and moist
>>84912609Lmao meds now
>>84914054My nostrils got irritated as heck the first few days of use and the nose masks don't work for me because the air circulates from my nostrils out of my mouth during a blockage.
