Are you really supposed to be a different person when texting? It's just all the stuff people say about texting like how you shouldn't double text and there are people out there giving advice on how you're supposed to text girls or even friends. And it makes me think why you can't just act like you would normally over text?

Texting is great for sending a little basic info quickly.

It takes a lot more effort and is more disruptive if either of you are in the middle of something to call and talk if that's the only thing you want to say to each other.
Lengthier conversations over text are cumbersome, though, and I much prefer using the phone or meeting face to face for those.
