I still have very high resistance to it and its users. I hate the retarded trends it creates, and formerly niche communities it devastates with a flick of the algorithm. Although other social media does that too. Maybe I just think "short videos" shouldn't be a genre or be solely vertically-filmed crap. It's fundamentally for the lowest common denominator.

Genuinely such a predatory medium, everyone I've spoken to who uses tiktok admitted that it shot their attention span. I used it for a bit some years ago and I deleted that shit once I noticed the same happening to me and I was starting to get addicted
