Don't know if I'm drunk but sex seems shallow
Friendships seem shallow
Relationships seem shallow
Everything just feels fake and gay. Even this site.
Even the internet.
I remember when you could just browse freely with out 890 captchas for smart asses. I miss my youth. I miss everything.

the internet used to be a haven for weirdos but iphones and social media ruined everything
are you just feeling disconnected from the people around you? or is there something else going on?

I feel disconnected from the people around me. Except for the girl where I buy alcohol asking me if I needed a hug. That was really humane. She saw me almost crying.

i'm sorry you're going through it.
that was really sweet of her, though. that's the reason relationships (platonic and/or romantic) are good to have. gives you someone to lean on when you're feeling low
there are shallow relationships, of course, where there is a lack of trust or care, but good ones do exist
let her humanity remind you of yours and others

I'll oft feel similarly, and I wonder if it's because things are actually so different now, or if it's just because I'm no longer a child or a teenager. Idk, it seems like goodness used to be something that you could just go out and witness, but now it's more like you have to actually create it, or be near someone else who actually creates it, because it's not actually there

i'm not so sure. maybe in the early 90s? in the 00s forums and the like were quite hierarchical and the only way to climb the hierarchy was often to be as "normal" as possible. it wasn't like present day where being a loser gives you credibility. being a nobody on forums was shit because no one paid you any mind and it was the same as being unpopular at school. sites were cliquey and exclusive in ways that would make your average loser not bother with them. the communities were almost always a circlejerk lauding the most popular members of the site who were basically royalty lording over the peasants. being e-cool now basically puts you in an entirely different class so there's less intermingling.
