Is it just like an is-ought fallacy? Their need to fit in and feel like they are the best just causes them to define whatever behavior they are used to doing as "good?" Is it an elaborate social bluff like the body positivity movement? It genuinely baffles me

Eh, sure most people might believe themselves to be "good" in some sense to avoid cognitive dissonance, but women constantly try to browbeat and manipulate others with how "self-sacrificing" they are or w/e
