As the title suggests oh it's just wondering if anyone's struggling to find anything to play. Like I've got genres I enjoy, love jrpgs in particular but I absolutely hate grinding and equipment management. And then other games come around and they're either too hard making it so that any enjoyment is completely lost, or they just happen to have a mechanic that I completely hate even if everything else about the game is great so that ruins the entire experience at that point. Even playing games from my childhood none of them are enjoyable. Honestly wish I could go back to the time when I could just play whatever mindless slop I was lucky enough for my mom to buy me from the store and enjoy playing it despite them being objectively awful games

yeah, a lot of them just seem so pointless. they're timesinks with no real reward.

1. You are depressed
2. Games in general are a slog to play
3. games are meant to capture a younger, shittier demographic of people making the gameplay loop as abhorent and grindy as possible (kids and zoomers)
4. same as 2, it is intentional on the developers part, gaming became too mainstream for its own good and now its paying the price for it.

modern games are so shit because of this and I hate how they are like 100 hours long too

have you tried playing a game that you actually enjoy?
