I just went to a psychiatrist for the first time and was put on Wellbutrin for ADHD/depression and propranolol as needed for anxiety. Has anyone here had any positive experiences with these medications?

It made me go manic but for a few days it was amazing. Propanalol doesn't do shit.

Propranolol is a blood pressure medication that should only be used PRN when you're feeling like you're on the verge od a panic attack. The wellbutrin will do absolutely nothing.

I will tell people to avoid meds when getting help with depression but Wellbutrin isn't an SSRI and is super low risk. You aren't supposed to drink or use drugs on it so that will help you regardless. It worked for a limited amount of time, then stopped and gave me hives so I stopped, but when it worked it worked just fine.If you have severe depression Neurostar TMS therapy was what finally fixed me. Now if I'm depressed it is purely due to external factors and not my brain creating problems.I also am completely sober too, which helps. But sobriety for me wasn't some "wow he found the will power to quit" it was more "huh, drinking makes me feel like shit. I don't wanna do this anymore"
