have you ever had to deal with a cockroach infestation in your house?

I had a lot of troubles with cockroaches a year or so ago. I was squashing them constantly.
At one point I had a glue trap that had a shit ton of tiny cockroaches on it.

I have never actually seen a cockroach I wish I could see one are they real what are they like I have these cockroach like bugs they are more like termite you know you see them going around in your basement even if your house is clean bug I used to burn them as a kid

My apartment had them when I moved in. I set out poison, put all food in sealed containers, and kept it that way for weeks. There aren't any roaches now.
