Im a straight heterosexual 30 year old man and Im considering purchasing an instant camera to go out and take photos and send them to people. Anyone else on this boat? Film is so fuckign expensive.
>>84932149I have a Polaroid camera from the 80s I take pictures with occasionally, bought it off eGay like ten years ago. Chicks love to commandeer that shit when they see it on my shelf, although I have to constantly explain there's only six photos per film pack so chill on the trigger finger lol. I miss the old Impossible film series from back in the 2010s, so aesthetic.
>>84932149Pro tip! Just buy used cameras. Film is ridiculously expensive youre right, not to mention you have to develop the film which is even more money. Don't buy those instant cameras, just buy a normal point and shoot camera. Test out that one before you ever try to use a DSLR.I'd suggest you pick up kodak gold as your first roll of film. Be patient with yourself. And remember to never open the back of the camera before rolling the film back in, it ruins the photos!Photography is a real nice hobby. Enjoy!!
>>84932172>I have to constantly explain there's only six photos per film pack so chill on the trigger finger lolaaaaaaaaaaaaa fuckthen again, thats what makes it fun.>>84932189completely forgot >>>/p/ was a thingi want an instant simply because i like how the photos look not sure id get the same pleasure from digitalthanks thoguh
>>84932201Oh no I am talking about film! You can buy polaroids sure, but i think the look of film cameras are better. You get like 24 pictures per roll which is like 12 dollars, and development costs like 18 dollars. My first camera was a pentax point and shoot, where I just popped in a battery and a roll of film. >>>/p/ is not incredibly active, but it should do. Again, point and shoots are amazing to begin with, easy to get a hang of. Then you can move on to slr (sorry I mixed up, I said dslr when I meant slr). Again, have fun!
>>84932201Haha yeah, it adds up quick. If you do end up getting an instant, remember to store your film packs in the refrigerator, it does a bit to help keep the film in good order
>>84932239i see what youre saying, yeah>>84932271would had been better for each film to be $.50 oh well
