It's kind of crazy that in the US, people who are caught with child phonography are given significantly longer sentence's than actual rapists or abusers. Men who rape adult women are often given fully suspended sentences, or are just sentenced to a couple of years. Child rapists get longer sentences, but still generally don't spend more than ten years in prison. Compare that to child phonography offences, where it's not unheard of to be sentenced to ten or even twenty years in prison. I'm not even talking about people who have abused children and produced child pornography, these are people whose only crime is looking at a picture and have never actually abused a child. Americans are proud of there justice system though, so I guess they asked for it.

>>84950309You're over generalizing how people get sentenced. So many factors play in. Did you get charge federally ? What is your criminal history? How severe was the crime? How many victims or pictures? If you raped someone was it with some one else? Are you willing to snitch on the person ? If you had illegal child material, were you working in a ring or distributing it? Or were you just caught on a simple catfish and only had 1 thing lurking around? Or did you get caught with 2 TB? In general, the worst the case is the more heavier the sentence. You can get lawyers and talk down on getting things changed around. Overall, when you got a few exploitation photos laying around, you wouldn't get hit with much especially if its your first and you have a good background. Rape? Same shit applies . If it was so bad, yeah you will probably hit with some heavy shit. You just got a girl drunk and slept with her or you were playing with her clit ? Yeah the judge will probably look into that. Different shit happens in crimes its not all equal.
