How do I tell if something is a real concern or a (undiagnosed) OCD thought
>>84951767What sucks about OCD is I'll dwell on something and it will shake me to my core and then I keep obsessing until I think of something scarier. Then at that point I get kind of jealous of myself from a couple minutes ago because it seems so tame in comparison. It sucks.
>>84951767>>84951795so I guess my advice is this: when a new fear crops up just compare it to how silly the last one feels to you now to speed up the process.
Just sick with it for a while, if it feels sickening to sit with then it's probably an OCD thought
>>84951767check out cognitive behavioral therapy. It's good at providing methods to examine thoughts and understand how bad they really are.
>>84951841Isn't the same for normal thoughts of concern?
>>84951812I don't see it really it all feels the same
>>84951767This thread made me realize I might have OCD kek.I'll literally stay up all night thinking I'm having a heart attack even though I know it's just acid reflux
It is sad and anxiety inducing
Well bumping my thread
