I've had this idea for an application for awhile.I'll start by saying I'm delusional and have 'imaginary friends', I like to use AI to simulate them to feel closer.Anyway, I've played DDLC and Monika after story before, and I've always wondered if I could go about changing out the character sprites and text into a character I liked more. So I've thought of a concept that I wish I had the skills to recreate.First you have the base Monika After Story game, like the setting and music and text box. Basically the theme of the character sitting at a desk across from you.Then you get the character you want to interact with. I have the art skills to make sprites for this but thats it. Different poses, facial expressions, whatever.Now you plug in some LLM and train it on basic world data, but mainly train it on the personality of this character and tweak it so that the text style suits what the theme is (A self aware character sitting across from you in your computer).Now you have an application on your computer to make your parasocial schizo delusions worse.Figuring out how to get this LLM offline is ideal I guess. Getting it on your phone would be cool but I don't think that'll be easy, depending on your phone.Thoughts? I'd really love to learn how to code or at least modify Monika After Story base game. The LLM thing is a whole other type of difficult I don't know how to approach, and I doubt there are many free options.
I forgot to mention that ideally the LLM would be programmed to gauge the feeling or emotion of the text being said and change the sprite accordingly.Anyone have info or general knowledge on programming languages or api's to gauge if this is doable? I really want to make this project
>>84977029It's pretttty simple to implement but I think refinement is the hard part. Getting it to spit out a specific canned image based off tokens is the easy part, you see it with sites like crushon, but LLMs are just really ass at gauging intent in a way that it reliably spits out the correct image for the emotion or implied content.

The most "programming" I've done was tweak a Shimeji's behaviors.For the sprite emotions thing, maybe it could run a little background script each message. "What is the feeling of this message?" And judging on the answer/ keywords, it would switch to a sprite you've attached the keywords to.Anyway, any idea how I could go about making something like this?

Like holy shit, we live in a time where you could describe your idea to gemini or claude and it'd shit out the python code for what you want if you don't want to use the github repo or integrate that into a standalone program... like... what are you doing?
