Can a 27 year old permaNEET possibly unfuck his life in 2026? I have been unemployed for a decade, I dont have a drivers license, I have no skills and no education. The only think I have going for me is I have about 20k in the bank from lucky crypto winnings a long while ago.It seems like the economy is totally fucked for young people right now. I feel like I am so behind I will never be able unfuck my situation. I will be the most enslaved wagie working 50 hour weeks at Walmart. I will never be able to get laid. Young single girls are already wary of older guys, which is now what im starting to become - I cant imagine how much worse it is for a 30 year old who is also a loser. Is there any hope here? I cant think of any way to crawl out of this hole. I fucked myself.
there's always a chance. Start now, least learn to drive. Gets harder to learn things as you get older.
>>85079650No. McDonald's is rejecting job applications at this point - you won't even be able to find a shitty minimum wage job. It's unironically over unc
>>85079650>Can a 27 year old permaNEET possibly unfuck his life in 2026? >>85079650she is so cute. where can I get a qt like that?
>>85079723anon, that's actually a male
>>85079650I don't know but I'm trying I just started highschool again, I'm the same age as you, I've been 27 for a month
>>85079826n-no-- i-it can't be... i-i I'm not gay.. NOOOOO
>>85079650AI fucked us all by taking our jobs. At this point you are better off getting into politics because there's a wave of anti-AI politicians, and you can attempt to join political communities that bond over the collective hatred of AI. If nothing else, it taking your job from you should be enough of a reason to hate it.
who's this eyebag slag?
>>85079650>i got out of neethood at ~24>finished my degree when i was ~28 or 29>job market was UP, got a job in my field>quit cus i suck (i actually dont entirely blame myself. long story)>job market went DOWN, cannot get a job in my field>supermarkets wont hire me>warehouses wont hire me>military here rejected me over nothing-burger health shit after half a year of bureaucratic dick spinning >only option seems to be trades>full of hillbillies, alcoholics, and people who don't mind inhaling hazardous fumes and cancer causing particlesi have one more card up my sleeve, but i'm not telling you what it is, because i don't want people to saturate it before i get in.but i wish you good luck
>>85079650Yes, I unfucked my life at 35 and i was a full blown neet but it isn't easy and will be a real uphill struggle so take it one step at a time. Be prepared to learn some bravery and self reliance. Learn to live with anxiety attacks and power through them. I had to just white knuckle a lot of shit. Do it though OP, 27 is still young enough that it won't be as embarrassing as it was at 35. Also learn to lie well, lying will get you far.
>>85079900I'm 35. Full blown neet. Tell me what you did, you can't just say you did something but not say what, that's not a story of inspiration.
>>85079650Are you good with computers anon?
>>85079894>i have one more card up my sleeve, but i'm not telling you what it is, because i don't want people to saturate it before i get in.It's okay, I don't want to be a gay prostitute
>>85079914Well I'm in colorado where if you're poor they'll give you money to take programs for jobs needed by the state (firefighter, EMT, CNA) and talked to an academic advisor and pretty much took an entire EMT course for free and started working as an EMT for a local hospital. The hospital has a program where they'll pay for your school if you sign a contract with them saying you'll work for them for a certain amount of time so I took nursing school classes and worked as an EMT which made nursing school really easy but tough because EMT hours are rough but i actually became friends with a lot of the people i worked with so now I have a solid friend group for the first time in like 15 years. Actually met my girlfriend while in school. Now I have a bachelors in nursing that I got for a free and make over 100k a year and I'm working on going to medical school once again paid for by the hospital. A lot of states have programs like this especially blue states. Honestly though the EMT course wasn't that expensive without help so I would have done it anyways. Also when I say lie I mean never tell anyone you were a NEET, they'll look down on you and it's just pointless to share so much with normies. Seriously, just go into anything medical related, they don't care about work history or anything, hospitals are pretty much desperate for anything they can get.
>>85079973>>85079914Also if you have anymore questions or need advice I'll do my best to answer.
>>85079929No, unfortunately im not even talented at the stereotypical loser stuff. Even the useless things like video games I suck at. I just have been laying in bed on my phone looking at youtube videos and talking on discord for a decade. The best years of my life. It went by so quickly
>>85080009Speaking from personal experience, you could join the military kek. I was borderline homeless for a lil so applied out of desperation and it's really like living life with cheats on.>Inb4 I'm not dying for IsrealThe vast majority of it now is either trades or desk jobs. They also pay you while they train you
>>85079650I'm mostly in the same boat as you, same age and everything. I did get my drivers license though, and I would highly recommend it if you have a vehicle you can use. It's a good step to take to feel slightly less like a complete manchild, and it's not too difficult, even complete retards can get a license.
>>85079973I'm in UK not sure if something like that exists here. Hear the nhs is biased towards hiring non whites and I'm certainly seeing it. Not sure I want to invest in something for years that won't pay off.
I'm 27 and I'm rapidly improving. However, it took me a year and a half to get to this point. Back in January of 2025, I just decided, "I'm gonna wake up every day and just constantly think about how to get out of this situation"People act like you can just watch a random youtube video from Steve Jobs and he'll teach you some amazing trick that instantly turns you into a productive person. This is a lie. You don't just have one self-sabotaging belief, you don't just have 1 bad habit, you have dozens of bad beliefs & bad habits. You have to replace all of these with good beliefs and good habits. It takes a long time, but you can totally do it
>>85079857How do you start high school at 27
>>85079973idk if you are still around anon, but where did you go to talk to an academic advisor? a local college or some "help i'm in my 30s restarting my life" advisor.t. in my 30s restarting my life
>>85080992what do you mean how? just by doing it
>>85081190do you get to sex teen puss
>>85081227oh no it's all from home, I mean I do have to go to a certain place to take the test so theoretically speaking I could fuck teenage highschool drop out puss
>>85079650i'm a decade older than you and also chronically neet and fucked... do whatever you have to to sort your shit out. use that 20k to go to community college and get a skill. it only gets harder anon. i'm knocking on 40s door and am thinking about going back to school... its pathetic.
>>85079650>20k in the bank from lucky crypto winnings a long while ago.Better than me desu, and I have a degree. only it's a useless (now meme) CS degree.
>>85081308What is even worth getting a degree in nowadays? Its so complicated with the ai issue
>>85081433i was going to try some kind of machinist degree/certifications. i live in a state with some opportunity for that kind of stuff careerwise due to government contracts.but yeah i'm kind of at a loss if i can even swing that. i'm horrible at dealing with people and i don't want to go back to school with a bunch of teenagers. whatever i do i know it's going to be a struggle.
32 neet here, cant keep a job and cant get on disability either, i'm simply fucked when my dad dies
>>85081119Local community college. Just signed up on their website, had to wait a bit to get accepted but took like maybe 5 days for all their school shit to activate and then on the student hub I made an new student appointment with an academic advisor. Told them I wasn't working and wanted to do something to make myself for employable and the lady told me the shit I could do. I told her I was interested in medical shit and then it just kind of fell into place. Look up your local community college, they actually have a shit ton of resources to help poorfags if you are one like I was. They also sometimes have jobs for students on campus too if you need work.
>>85079650No, 27 is still young enough for you to go to college and it not be weird. $20k is a good amount to start something like painting, landscaping, hot dog stand, computer service, roofing if having an interest in one area and you have the time unlike us wagies that only have 1 spare day a week. Once you start work you realized all the gatekeeping is false. I went to interview at my local Walmart clone, it was a group interview and I really needed to do a shit, didn't even bother to call me back.>>85079894I've never had luck with supermarkets or McDonalds.
>>85081492Sorry for typos, been drinking a little tonight but should be legible enough
>>85079650>>85080009Youre screwed. And i dont even say this to mock you. You have no experience or a degree so nobody will hire you for a decent salary. You cant drive so not even to be an Uber. You cant even draw hentai or do gaming streamings. Even a Burger Kings job would feel like throwing money away from the companys pov.Just take the walmart job because if you keep neeting, even that will be impossible.
>>85079650Not to sound pessimistic but its been a total disaster trying to find a job recently. Im an engineer, going into a masters program and the only job i managed to land was a contract to develop an app. The app itself was ez but the terms on the contract did not specify that i needed to be published to the appstore, so i went with that and got sued.Anyways, I ended up selling some pies i was baking to help at home, got some decent enough cash. Could be a starting point and there are plenty of recipes online. You should try to sell to some friends or smth like that
>>85081527there's a good reason anyone approaching 30 has still done nothing at all with their life, it's a certain mindset/outlook on life that simply paralyzes you from trying, honestly anyone who makes it to 30 without even having a license, a year of work experience etc should just be rightfully labelled as ill, broken people and given some form of welfare before they become another homeless person wandering around, which is the inevitable fate of all NEETS when suicide failssaying this as a NEET in my 30s myself with no future
>>85081580I dont understand how can you live with that. When i was 16 i was already worried about my future, at 22 i was desperate for a job. How can you reach yours 30 being a neet?
>>85081492Thanks anon. I've always resisted hitting them up because I've got 2 degrees from a major uni in the state, I'd feel like... idk, like i'm admitting defeat. But I'm reaching the point it's either admit it or just rot a slow death. I'm not a total poorfag but it cant last forever.Enjoy the drinks
>>85079650In my family they say that the only unfixable thing in this life is death. You have a good starting point with that money, even to the point that you make me think you're attention whoring with this thread.Anyway, bring yourself up and try to keep fighting. When your will to die is gone is when you will be truly dead
>>85081604Yeah really look into healthcare, hospitals will hire anyone, as long as you aren't sex offender, at least in my state. More neets need to go into medical roles, it's the easiest way out of being a neet especially if for males because men are short supply in hospitals.
>>85081590You try, you fail time and time and again, and then give you up because you find your efforts go unrequited. And you have no purpose for working hard, nothing behind you, you're just living on inertia alone, living to live. No girlfriend, wife, you missed all those social milestones and you skirted through high school, right? But during high school you think "things will get better after I graduate, this isn't the real world, I'm better than these people." But life is about the same, its easier to fantasize than to do, when I imagine myself having a good job, house, and family, it feels like I accomplished all these things and that I'm already rich, when nothing happened at all, its all in my mind.
>>85081622Will to fight*
>>85081590nta but parents have a big part to play. Mine actively discouraged me from getting a job in HS/college to "focus on your studies." They set a bad pattern of always taking care of things, never giving enough freedom to try and fail. Basically spoiled and shielded me from preparing to be an adult.I got a job out of college (not my degree, surprise it was at the comp my dad worked), worked there for several years while living at home "saving $." Lost the job, struggled to get a job where I was qualified because it had been so long since school. Then even shitty wagie jobs start turning you down. And here I am, NEET in his 30s.
>>85081590>>85081590i died a long time ago. i grew up being abused and treated like dog shit by my mother and my stepdad. black sheep of my family.finally made a friend who became my best friend and he died. alone again. dropped out of high school after that.mom kicked me out at 18. dad picked me up and i lived here with him and my grandparents.some time passes, i still have no desire to do anything but sit in my room.grandparents get older, get sick and they die too. i was here taking care of them the whole time, seeing them suffer. seeing my 80 year old grandpa get dementia go from someone i respected and loved into something less conscious than a toddler. then grandma gets COPD from smoking and it slowly destroys her to the point she cant even walk to the bathroom without feeling like she's suffocating to death.she died on my aunts couch saying "help me"and that's your reward for doing everything right, working hard, having kids, buying a house etc.you just get old and sick and suffer in ways that you never could have imagined possible and then you die helplesslythis life is just completely meaningless, all of the magic of life was drained out of me by the time i was 18. world is just a big torture chamber to me
>>85081660I sympathize with you anon, but youre not dead, youre alive and you need money to survive. You let gloomdon take over you because you still have safety, housing, water and food, so your brain thinks youre fine, but youre not, you need money.Im sorry about your grandparents, but let me be honest: oldness is a bitch for everybody. Only a few privileged people could see their grandparents age and die comfortably. My grandma spent 7 years going to hospitals on a weekly basis. When she died i felt more relieved than sad. Nowadays i miss her very much. But at the time i just wanted her to stop suffering.About your friend, im sorry. Nobody deserves to lose a friend that young. But you need to face reality. If you keep giving excuses to say "im dead" when youre alive, you will end up homeless, and trust me, this will be more fucked up than what you imagine
>>85081666i get what you are saying but i don't have any will to do any of that. i cant even maintain contact with counselors and psychiatrists long enough to build a disability case.there really isnt any hope for me and there's no reason for me to linger too much longer, i dont plan on getting old lol
>>85079650Buy 20k worth of AMDY on Robinhood You'll get a weekly dividend. Set aside 30% for taxes depending on your state. Reinvest half every week so it'll keep growing. Use the other half for driving lessons / to get a license. Where you go from there is up to you. Maybe learn day trading or get a security guard license for employment or invest in online schools. Gluck.
>>85081771Anon do not gamble your money like this for fuck sake
I know people who got skills later in life than you did and they have better careers than I do now, and I've been a good boy and never spent a second of my life NEETing.>I will be the most enslaved wagie working 50 hour weeks at WalmartIt could happen, but you have some agency over it. You can work on learning to be able to do something else, and do something else. You can hustle, start businesses, learn a trade, do an apprenticeship, get into some kind of program, maybe see if some of your family can help you get a job easier or more prospective than Walmart.>I will never be able to get laidThis could change any day, you're a virgin until you aren't.>Young single girls are already wary of older guysThey jump on old guy dick all the time, because old guys have means, security and experience.>I cant imagine how much worse it is for a 30 year old who is also a loser. Well don't spend the next 3 years imagining. You have to make life plans and stick to them. Life isn't just the first 30 years. As a 35 yo, I can tell you that the first 30 aren't really the best part either. 30s have their perks.
Exact same situation i'm in as well. I don't think there is a point to working at all without a gf and since i'll never get one i'll just never work. Of course others are up my ass trying to push me into bullshit jobs that i'm 5 SDs mentally overqualified for so i can fund their pensions and shit but its just not happening.
>>85079650I'm a 25 year old neet and reading all this is scaring me fucking shitless. I'm literally applying for jobs and I have warehouse experience but I keep getting rejected or I don't hear back. I do have a license and doordash and ubereats the only thing that can keep me alive and help my parent, but other than that i'm fucked. I don't fucking know why it's so hard to get a job compared to in the past when you can simply walk in and get one, Jesus Christ the world became complicated for no reason.
>>85079650You can use some of that money to get some classes or training for some job and start getting work experience or just straight up lie and hope they don't do a background check. As for getting your license, actually getting your license is easy but driving and parallel parking can be difficult. Not just cause you're adjusting to it and a little nervous but because of the dumbfucks on the road
>>85081683I wish you luck regardless, you have to make a decision soon eventually. Either do nothing and starve to death or find a way to obtain money. This world doesn't care for anyone, not even the president himself. It will eventually take your life, you might aswell wing it at this point.
>>85079973Burnout rate for EMT's is insane. You are looking at max 4 years on the job before being mentally fucked up.Being a male nurse too is an utter minefield with how crazy women are these days. All it takes is 1 wrong word to some crazy haired bitch and its over.
>>85081433Like another anon mentioned, anything medical. You'll have job security for 20-30 years because there's tons of rich boomers getting ready to die.
I'm also 27 and I've started making improvements to my life but I'm very bitter about not getting to fuck cute girls in my teens/early 20s and idk if I'll ever get over it
>>85083214Not OP but I was thinking about getting some sort of technician training like MRI tech or ultrasound tech or whatever but it seems like those will be replaced by ai soon enough
