You're better off deleting the "food forest" and the livestock pen and keep the garden and chicken coop, but then for food you just hunt and fish. Way better and more consistent yields. I'm sure I don't have to explain how livestock works, but they take time and shit tons of grass.

Tools required for maintenance is going to be a handy sum too. Livestock are going to be thousands in initial investment (hundreds per animal), not to mention vaccinations, medicine and visits from the vet.This homestead doesn't produce its own water, electricity or grains for the livestock so all of that has to be imported. Mostly laziness and lack of any will.I like the idea but I'm way too used to the easy life. Actually getting a place in the countryside with some land (even if not that much) costs more or less the same as an average flat in my country because people don't want them.I'm also paranoid, and if I lived in the middle of nowhere I'd have to pretty much sleep with a rifle.
