Why is "steampunk" a thing? How are there this many people who enjoy dressing up like this? It's not even from anything. They're not cosplaying as their favorite characters from a movie or anything. I don't get it.
>>85084605that is kinda coolbut also stupid i imagine its something youd have to reeeally -get- to be able to get into it. but if oyure into it, its probably pretty fun. also>whyprobably because someone in some shitpost convinced some men that women were into it or it was a way to meet womenthis coould all very easily just be the isnide joke of some internet troll who likes knowing he was able to waste someones time.
>?WTF IS THAT A SCIENCE FICTION SUBGENRE? BUT I'M TOO YOUNG TO RECOGNISE IT FROM SOMETHING RECENT AND POPULAR SO WTF WHY DOES IT EXIST????I swear my dog is smarter than most of the 'people' on this board and he's been dead for ten years.
>>85084605I don't care for it at all because a shit ton of steampunk games came out around the same time in the early 2010s and burned me out on it. But it doesn't bewilder me or anything.
>>85084605it's cool aesthetic especially in the millenial eralike frutiger aero
You have to be deeply autistic to get it. Childhood shows like Thomas the Tank Engine spark interest in mechanics and it usually goes from there. Japan also has an interest in the gothic Victorian era, because of the sudden influx of western culture during the Meiji restoration at the same time.
steamboy is cool
Its not steampunk unless you've got the top hat and goggles.Terraria has the steampunker and she sells actual technology, probably a main inspiration for the last 10+ years.
Why is reality even a thing. Some shit exploded a long time ago and now I have to huff oxygen every few seconds for the rest of my life, like some kind of addict?
