Is there any reason not to buy as much land as you can? Mark Twain said they weren't making more of it.

No, you should buy a raft and live on it with some black guy and two redpill grifters

It's incredibly selfish to own a large amount of beautiful forest and keep it entirely for yourself. Nature should be for everyone.

That little plot is nothing of course. Anyone could own this majestic parcel

For now, I'm broke. But I see why people would want to buy land: your own creeks, your own rivers, your own trees. You can build whatever you want on it. Hell, you could turn it into a theme park if you wanted to.

Maybe one day I will buy land. I feel like that would be good, just to run free, go camping, and make memories. But for now, I'm broke and I can't, and I wouldn't have enough time to dedicate to taking care of the land. So, I like exploring and going around parks and stuff.

I've owned both real estate and stocks. Over the long term, the real estate increased its value at approximately the general rate of inflation, which is about 3% annually. The stocks increased their value at closer to 10% annually. So there's no question which investment I would recommend for most people.

At some point it must reverse. You can make more stonks, you can't make more land on the planet. Land gives you energy (sunshine, wind, water moving, tree growth) and resources (grow food, etc) at the end of the day, so it must eventually appreciate in value over time.

Property taxes intentionally disincentivize unproductive landholding.
>>
>>85087478
not to mention the fact that this is the worst possible time to buy property,
and managing numbers in an account is way easier than managing a living breathing plot of earth

>you can't make more land on the planet.
Have you ever seen a skyscraper?
>>
>>85086896
Yeah. You can never legally actually own land, it is always owned by the government, which is owned by jews, and you have to pay taxes while leasing it from them.
>>
>>85087559
>Have you ever seen a skyscraper?
Skyscrapers make land? Is that how the Earth was formed, 6000 years ago?
>>
>>85086896

"Land eats" is the expression
>>
>>85086896
Theoretically it can crash in value like in 1900s Japan. But usually it's worth, if you can afford it.
>>
>>85086896
Blackrock owns it all; I've watched that dream evaporate before my eyes. I'll never own land in this lifetime
>>85086942
Bitch I would buy pristine forest and then never set one toe on it. I would let it exist for its own sake. Your bluehairs and whatever patagonia club you belong to would trash it in the name of "habitat management"
>>
>>85086896
Kek, if i had 30k i would buy a land in bumfuck nowhere and order one of those cheap premade homes. I hate the city anyway

You are going to spam this shit again? Get some new material.

>Skyscrapers make land?
Yeah they turn a half acre into several acres of surface area. Are you dumb or something?
>>
>>85088855
They make livable area, they don't make land. The resources are finite.
>>
>>85086896
its fine to buy land you want to live on or do something with (even that something is preserve it's natural beauty) but if you buy land as an investment I think you should be shot
>>
I cant afford it basically
If I had money I would buy land far away from jeets and chinks
>>
>>85088967
>I think you should be shot
>leftists when you want to benefit from improving something
>>
>>85087699
they mystery subject took copilot five minutes to learn about and blackrock doesnt own a lot of land
>>
>>85088967
>I think you should be shot
or just taxed at a rate equivalent to the increase in value of the land, forcing you to either live on it, develop it, or sell it off to someone who could use it better than you could
>>
>>85089022
I agree
People in my country buy land, do nothing with it and try to resell it at a higher price just like that. No one dares to say something about it because deep inside they wish they were the ones profiting from hoarding land, but sure they cry when rent is 40% of their paycheck lmao fuck normgroids
