Should you learn a bit of piano in order to make music in a DAW?

>>85086917Theory helps. Most DAWs make clear the notes in and out of key. If you use your ear and keep listening to music, then you will absorb possible phrasings and ways to plot notes. Theory helps you translate into writing what you are hearing in someone else's work or in your head.To be clear, "knowing how to program parts for a DAW project" is not the same as "being a virtuoso," or "capable of performing whatever you wrote."I do tend to live-play chords or passages, and it can be more time-consuming (in especial because I am using a laptop keyboard) but I prefer to keep some of that workload.Good luck!
