Are any of you guys daytraders? Hows the lifstyle? how long did it take you to become profitable? what resources did you use to learn daytrading?
literally pointless unless youre working with a million dollars in tender everyday, and at that point its better off in the bank
>>85090855day trading is not a good idea.do swing trading, longer-dated options, etc.
Great way to feel like a genius and a retard back and forth all day. I started trading when there was a 25k pattern day trading rule so I had to start out swing trading. I grew my account from 7k to 70k in about 2 years. I quit after because trading such large numbers started fucking me up, I started caring more about proving I was a trader for real instead of making raw p/l. I realized I was compromised and took my win and walked away. Saying it's pointless if you don't have millions is retarded. There are a thousand strategies you can use. The lifestyle is pretty horrible. Daytrading takes insane mental resilience and fortitude, ultimately the game is managing your emotions, managing your delusions, knowing when to fold them, knowing when you're in denial/in ecstasy. Resources to learn? You should check out momentum trading if you have very little money. Cashing in on hyped stocks primarily on high relative volume, and using that for easy entry and exits on fast moving stocks. Telling when I became profitable is pointless because like I said I couldn't daytrade under 25k, but as a regular trader who occasional made individual daytrades, mostly defensive moves to cut losses, it really didnt take long to make 100 bucks a day which is comparable to a job I had before it. Hate to say it but daytrading is very hard and you're better of swinging. Look up quallamaggie.
>>85090855its something that only works out if you're actually smart, in my experience I've made more money gambling then when I tried out day trading for like a month, but that isn't really a fair comparison since for some unknown reason I'm naturally good at gambling
