I feel like both sides have a point. My parents married when my mom was 19 with a 14 year age gap. On one hand their personalities at their best meshed great. My mom being autistic af its hard for her to find people that vibe with her. They were the same type of nerd with differences that complimented each other.On the other hand, my mom was not given time to develop a career, independence, adult maturity, go to therapy, etc. Women my dad's age wouldn't put up with his untreated bpd + bipolar which is why he got along better with younger women. He lacked a lot of self-awareness.I think that there are many things to consider and be extra careful about in an age-gap relationship, but not every one is doomed to fail.
