I visited 2 third world countries these past years (Mexico and Brazil) and it wasnt a third as shitty as i expect. Im thinking of going to more hardcore places like south africa or india. I mean if mexico and brazil arent as bad as people say, zuidafrika and bharat probably are okay too

Latin America isnt really third world. Its poor and dangerous and shitty but it has nothing on the legitimately third world hell holes found in Asia. And Africa is even worse but for me the worst is India and the street shitting they dont even do that in Congo where the people are more ape than man
India is not actually very hardcore depending on the region and overall India has pretty low crime and the interiors of public spaces are actually cleaner than in UK (lmao). I have been to Brazil 6 times because my brothers wife is from there. Its much worse than America but i deem it liveable. Some parts of it are as 3rd world as americans think but if you deleted the murder problem it would be "2nd world" imo. I would live in Curitiba, Florianopolis, or even Belo Horizonte and Sao Paulo if yoy paid me to. I also have been to countries such as Morocco and Ivory Coast due to my job, and those are like the best countries in africa, and i wont live there even if you paid me to. I didnt even get the courage to eat in restaurants there; id always buy the food and clean/cook it myself.

Regarding intersting, I do think their epic mythology is quite interesting in the regard that it has a lot of fresh and batshit insane plot points and is very engaging.A lot of people travel for food would probably be horrified, but I both hate indian food specifically and just generally not interested in gastronomics so I just ate coconuts and bananas most of the time and didn't need to touch a single street vendor. One of the things I've heard people say is that in India they just let old/sick people hang out on the street and enjoy the sun all day instead of hiding them away in some dusty home. I know part of that is because of poverty, but I know in India they just don't fear the gross or dirty parts of life like the rest of the world. I think its all about having a lower bar. Morocco is probably much better and cleaner than Mauritania, but i dont have an experience with mauritania.
