>for no reason at all, the government decided to spawn inifiniJEETs into the west just so they can take every job and live in a 20 person household

they imported all the jeets because the government has printed so much money that inflation was about to skyrocket.

that's part of why covid had such huge lockdowns: to deflate things.

Shouldn't these houses just be inherited and maintained by their family? I don't get the big fuss. Property valuation shouldn't matter if the loan has been paid off, someone mind enlightening me?
>>
>>85096752
umm bit anti-semitic how are the banks supposed to make money on that arrangement, goy?
>>
>>85096752
there's a ton of reason why a house might not be inherited after the owner died, most common would be something like a reverse mortgage which boomers love because it allows them cash to buy new cars, boats, RVs and to go on cruises every summer. If they have more than one child and don't specify one child getting the whole thing then often the children sell it and divide the money up, lastly there might be liens on the property that could force a sale.
>>
Oh and its becoming more and more common for boomers to fund their nursing home stays by putting up their home as collateral as well, so when they die the care facility gets the property. Or for them to sell the home outright before they go into said home.

Wow that all sounds very fucked up to me.

Many boomers feel that their kids shouldn't be given any kind of inheritance because they "didn't work for it". And if they do, they tend to do retarded shit like putting the house into a will instead of a trust and then their kids end up having to be in probate and cost them thousands of dollars in legal fees fighting to keep it.

Blackrock and Vanguard will buy those homes.

Yeah but what's going to happen to all that land once everyone is living in ze pods and eating ze bugs? They have to use it for something. They can't sit and speculate on houses when everyone who could afford to buy or rent them is dead.
>>

Resource extraction, data centers. fake cities like China and ungodly abominations we couldn't even begin to dream up because of how absurd their ideas are?
>>
>>85097009
the single family homes will be rented out to the overseer class of likely indians and arabs, while everyone else lives in the pod and eats ze bugs.

Yes, they can. Why not? Houses don't produce jack shit, so being technically unused doesn't matter, so long as they give return on investment one way or another. They're just assets. Societal problems that might result from this? That's Not Their Problem, it's yours and mine, and you'll see that in the rare case that it might come to affect them, they'll be bailed out from it. After all, they need each other. But not us.
