my ten year old headphones broke just now. they got caught on my hair and the old ass plastic snapped. though its a permanent break i can just slot it back together and they sit on my head just fine.
I tried using a 6 year hifi headphones I had in storagebut the leather fucking disintegrated lol

The thing is the part that broke is easily replaceable but no one sells it, can't even find it on chinese sites. I bought new ones now though with a metal frame, I'm never buying plastic again.

every time I would get headphones they would develop problems around the cable and audio cutting out, this happened to every pair. It was like the dark ages of headphones. The ones I have now are fine though for some reason.
