So there's this vn I'm reading, and I don't find any of the characters likeable, I don't think the story is that good, I can sort of predict the rest of the story and know I probably wont like it, but for some reason I still want to see what happens next. It's written well enough that it keeps me interested but not written well enough to make me think "wow, this is such a good story." They just put out a new one and reading the it I can already tell the story is going to annoy me, yet I know I'm gonna come back and read the next update. Is this weird? Do any of you guys do this with other media?
>>85101560some shows and media get carried by a good premise alone and nobody even realizes.
>>85101560What VN? I've read a lot.
>>85101585It's a porn vn called King Of Summer. Be warned, there is NTR, which is a big reason I don't like the story, but as I said before its written well enough to make me want to see what happens next.
>>85101560Dragon Ball Z is exactly like this for me.Completely predictable plot, completely predictable characters, yet I still wanna watch out of curiosity to see what happens next.
Starting in 2024 I noticed a lot of VNs had started using AI to write their stories. As an AI sex bot connoisseur, it's painfully clear to me. I can even identify the specific model used sometimes. It wouldn't surprise me if AI has a large role in creating such a mid yet midfully compelling story
>>85103084Yeah? List examples? Professional or amateur VNs? I do not consider this a bad thing. AI users are friends.
