Honestly?, I would say that it is not only based on looks. There are people, who no matter how attractive, they are a fucking torture to be with (although, they'll still get way more sex than any of us). I used to have a classmate in highscool who had 10/10 body with a 8/10 face but could not get into an actual relationship because he was so stupid, women tossed him after they got tired of him. It's a little comforting when I remember that he got an std and his balls won't work anymore
