>>85105443I was expecting that given this place but still regardless of who "they" is I'd imagine someone has determined that desalination is far too expensive of a process over conventional methods like capturing and storing rainwater. Most water shortages are due to political short sightedness with infrastructure neglecting the construction of new reservoirs once the population in the area increased.
