I'm from a German collony settled in the middle of somewhere. All the people I grew up with are traveling to Germany right now and posting on their Instagram accounts while I'm all alone in my home country.

Point out where you are, no need to vague post.

It's not a political collony, but a place where german immigrants set themselves. Somewhere in Argentina.

why would you want to go to germany though it seems pretty shit

It's where my ancestors lived and the people I grew up with are having fun there. It's more about they being able to hangout and "spending their youths to the fullest" than being there per se.

Eh, they would do that wherever it is you live. If you were born in Germany, they'd go to the US and Spain and east asia (only the rich suburbs) and do the same things, feel the same feelings, post the same selfies and say the same phrases. I.e., it doesn't matter, don't worry about it.

Also, no European feels at home in Europe at the moment anyway, for a variety of reasons. Grass isn't greener, at least not in this sense.
