trolling used to be something older people did to younger people. now it's almost exclusively younger people doing it to older people...

My theory for this changing dynamic is that older people, i.e. age 25 and higher have become more and more stupid, short-sighted and petty. They often flex trite and benign achievements while taking every possible opportunity to establish their superiority in a bid to look masculine and matcho. All younglings have to do is notice this insecurity and poke holes in it, which is interpreted as "trolling." In the past, older people were wiser, more empathetic, and actually tried helping the youth, and so this didn't happen. Anyone who says otherwise is a coping millennial or old zoomer who does not belong, and all I can present to them is this big fat L.

No, the definition of trolling was changed by younger people.
Trolling used to involve an element of deception. The entire point was you tricked someone into believing you, then they made a fool of themselves. That was OG trolling, being intelligent enough to make someone humiliate themselves.
At a certain point though, retarded minecraft kiddies started using the word interchangeably with griefing, and so a generation grew up that thought that 'trolling' was just doing something cruel and getting a reaction. From there, it was further simplified to just saying something and getting a reaction. In reality, this is not trolling. It's not really entertaining or clever. It's just being an asshole, rather than tricking someone else into looking like an asshole on their own.

Spics did that to me in Minecraft in middle school.
I still stand by the fact that theyre worse than niggers.

trolling is basically behavior that solicits flaming, you're right
i guess i have in mind a different kind of thing that is more like teasing

Look at old school trolling and it was more stuff like encouraging someone to do or say something that you know will start a flame war or get them banned.

I have no idea what spics is but my instinct says this is yet another north american race thing.
You guys know some countries aren't as jewfucked as yours right?

Trolling doesn't exist anymore. Normies think calling someone a mean name or playing a prank on someone is "trolling".
