Anyone else attempting to make some big changes in their life? I decided to finally go for it and planning to quit my good paying job and move to Japan. I have never lived in a different country before. I decided to do this because I am getting tired of my current job and just bad experiences with trying to find someone to date.

Anyone else doing stuff to change their life?

Unless you're Japanese, you should reconsider moving to Japan and contributing to the gaijinization of the country and replacement of Japanese people. If you actually had any respect for Japanese culture you would think about why doing so is harmful (something immigrants never do)

not a very big change

im just trying not to constantly come up with counter argument to every dumb thought that flies through my brain

XDXDXDXD

Well I am going the language school route. I will study for a year and if I don't git gud in nihongo I will return back home.

>>85132853
You can do it :3 I believe in you bro
>>
>>85132830
no, big changes require money
>>
>>85132871
I am fortunate to have money to do this. Will move to Japan and not work for a year.

I lived there for a couple of years, incredible memories and made some life long friends. Lived in Hokkaido but spent a lot of time in Tokyo and Okinawa.

You will be living close to poverty right now with whatever you will be getting paid for a new gaijin job. Things are getting much more expensive, and wages are not rising at all. I would advise saving up a big chunk of cash to keep it managable.

Remember you will always be a gaijin and that Japan can be a very lonely place without a good group of friends, so focus on putting yourself out there.

You might have some luck with short-term casual dating but you'll find it incredibly hard to find something long term that wont end up going horribly. I'd probably say you would have far better luck finding something like that back home, as compared to finding it in Japan. Just make sure you really think about what you want.

Yeah, i've gone nuclear, scorched earth.
All 3 are done, so i am done, i can die in peace. One was splattered, one i shagged his wife and he died of ass cancer, and the third had a stroke. I am done, my work is over, this will be my last post. I won.

Day X-hundred of applying for jobs and hearing nothing back. At what point do I just give up and disappear into the woods?
>>
>>85132923
hokkaido was definitely pretty nice. I have plenty of money saved that I won't need to work for the whole year I am there and still live comfortably.

I'm planning on saving about $30k over the next two years to buy some land in the Appalachians for homesteading. I'm done with modern society and city life. I just want a cheap, permanent place to live in nature where no one can tell me what to do. I'll drive an hour each way for work every day in the beginning, I don't give a fuck. The gas and maintenance will be nothing compared to what I'll save in not having to pay rent or utilities, and the peace I'll gain will be such a relief to my nervous system. I just want a small handbuilt house made of wood and earth, a flock of sheep to eat, rainwater collection, and a woodstove made of bricks.

sounds pretty comfy. I would want to homestead too desu.

It sounds like a good place for introverted and reserved people. They'll probably be less put off by someone who isn't the most socially competent. Hope it goes well for you OP

I mean if hes a gajin or white guy he should have good luck and a pretty decent chance dating

Quit my wagie bar job and breaking up with my boring gf soon. Its the small things in life. Plan on surrounding myself with hot 18 yr olds

I dislike men who hit women because my dad beat my mom to death. I spent the last 3 months making 3 mens lives as difficult as possible for doing the same and now, they are gone. Justice, final boss of simps, evil, i don't care, all that matters is they are gone, i am not

Within 10 years I want to get to the point where I'm self-sufficient enough that I don't need to wage or leave my land anymore. I hope to essentially be retired by 45. I could breed and sell lambs to cover all my meager expenses (only a couple hundred dollars per year for property tax), and I'd like to do carpentry and woodworking as well. I'll just wage for the first few years to build up my infrastructure, my little house, and more savings.
It really is awesome how affordable it can be to live if you own cheap land and live in a basic, natural way.
>>
>>85135432
thanks, I hope it goes well too

>>85135432
yeah, I just need to be more social

>>85135914
how will you do that by quitting your wagie job?
>>
>>85132830

I'm in the process of moving from my parents house to my gf's apartment in the city. It's going to be tough as I'll have to stop neeting and get a job, but I'm sure I can do it so long as I stay motivated and keep a positive attitude.
>>
>>85135527
yeah, for something casual
>>
>>85138936
that is pretty good! I hope you do well with your gf

>>85139044
is it not possible for a real relationship?

AAAA YOU'RE ALL FUCKING NORMIES
>>
>>85132830
Are you in the least bit concerned about the work culture there?
>>
>>85141170
a bit. I heard it not bad if you find a more western company
>>
Not really, I just need to think what I actually want to do first. Something like Japan doesn't really excite me, it's just another place where I'd likely feel more isolated.

I should just start living on my own soon, swallow the loneliness and see if that spurs me to do something.
