There are entire forums and subreddits of people who have completely mapped out what courses you need to take to transfer so you have the minimum amount of classes to take at the actual University. The minimum amount of time is actually 3 months for some schools (1 month to get the transfer credits, 2 months for the school). I started and dropped college 3 times. I was 27 when I started biology, the one degree I actually finished, albeit in almost twice the time. Later, I did the master in 2 years, and the phd in 3 years.
Life hasn't been great lately, but it's probably better than if I hadn't do it.
When I did it at 27, I felt I was too old to socialize too much with others, but when I was younger I didn't either so it's not like it made a difference. As far as studying goes, I became somewhat more disciplined and serious only when I turned 30 or so.

But was going through a master when covid hit. I was staying with my parents at the time and they went insane from it. They kept screaming I was doing a masters when I should be looking for a job (not taking into account that the tourism industry I was working in and planning to get into got killed during it). It got so bad that I ended up dropping out and I have PTSD about ever going back to uni.

I regret wasting my time with it. All I got for it was seeing the cracks into our society and have the pleasure of waging jobs that don't require a degree. My advice, don't bother going to uni if you aren't in law or medicine. Waste of time. All the jobs that require a degree are can easily be done without and, besides, they all go to family members of higher ups anyways. If you don't have people to get you in, you'll never get in. And that requires no degree.

Yes, for six years. I started abroad at what was effectively a 'community college' on a U.S. military installation, and then transferred stateside to finish up (after 3 years). In retrospect, I don't entirely regret it; I just regret not majoring STEM when it was still worth doing so.
