Well what really crushed me was about 3 years ago I had a group of guys I knew pretty well and one of the guys was a hard working lad. Working in building and such. Didn't do drugs, didn't party, was working on himself psychologically to better himself. Was physically very strong, in shape. A really solid guy, Hard to say anything bad about him at all. He owned his home. Well, at the time, he and his wife owned their own home. He'd been with her since highschool, they were highschool sweet hearts, they were each otherr's first time for most things. They also had two children together. Really solid family, apparently.

Anyways, he discloses to me that his wife is going away on 'girls weekends' in another city, about 40 to 1hr away by car - and she was doing it pretty regularly. I said to him that this was a really bad sign and she's probably cheating. Anyway, he didn't want to hear that, so he kind of stopped talking to me. About six months later he spoke to me again and he was crying and he said that he found his wife's phone open and it had heaps of snap chat messages with some random guy. And he could see she was doing sex stuff with him. She eventually confessed that she'd been fucking random guys at night when away on the girls weekends.

So, also, all her close friends had recently gotten divorced, in the last 2 years, and basically she burnt down the marriage. Destroyed the family. Ruined the children's lives, too.

And financially they're unlikely to ever own a home again, either of them. The guy might if he networks into some higher paying jobs, but her, she works as a nurse, and she'll never ever own a home again unless she gets married to some other guy and he pays for it.

She also treated him like shit for an entire year and a half before they broke up. She stonewalled him, wouuldn't communicate, stopped having sex with him. And basically became super cold to him and a bitch.
