I have been taking 2-4mg alprazolam for a long time and will be for long time too, and combined with the other antipsychotics i take they always fry my brain to a standstill, which is good, because that is what it's meant to do, since unmedicated me is a bigger nightmare than whatever i'm right now. Mental illness isn't fun. So if you are taking it for this reason, just take it. If you are taking it to get high... i dunno switch to Heroin or something. Leave the pills for those who need it.

Benzo addiction is one of the most retarded things you can do. If you repeatedly "stop using it for it to become as strong as it used to be" you will face the thing called 'tapering' where each withdrawal is exponentially worse than the last. ive gone to rehab and had three grand mal seizures from withdrawals, called 911 on myself a few times thinking im dying, screamed in a hospital bed from feeling my brain zapping, got my license suspended swerving on the freeway blacked out etc. with all that said, i still love benzos and will buy them again when i have enough money. klonopin is my top preference but valium is ur best bet for withdrawals. xans ur bound to get fucked
