Fish are funny as hell bc they'll be on a warpath towards another fish in the aquarium but the second you wag your finger at them they'll stop dead in their tracks and face their scolding like a man. If I didn't have an aquarium I would've probably blown my shi clean off by now. These little aquatic creatures are my sole source of joy in life.
I remember when I was a kid my parents got me this gorgeous blue betta I named Blue (I was 8 okay?) and she was such a fierce little demon. She'd constantly chase the other fish around the tank, pick fights with (and usually lose to) the crab over who got to live in the little castle in the middle of the tank, and flare her gills at anything that came near fish flakes that she designated as hers. Weirdest thing was how we managed to discipline her by putting her in a small glass vase for a day whenever she acted up too much, and she somehow managed to connect the dots on why she was being punished and simmered down. She was only really around for a year, but it was the best year of my life as far as fish are concerned.
i love animals. many have unique personalities and are very smart. they've been around as long or longer than we have. i think if more robots got pets and committed to the responsibilities, they'd find more beauty in the world.
>>85160739Fish anecdotes:My gf cried for a couple of months after her betta fish died. She would swear that the fish would watch tv with her, and blow kisses at her. That taught me how even fish have personalities. So theres this huge aquarium at the office I work at, it had this hawkfish that was so cool. Bigger than everything else and it would watch the whole tank like a Lion King surveying it's kingdom. Then the holocaust happened. The water turned turned green and over the weekend every fish died. Every fish except for this stupid little coward orange-blue fish that would always hide at the bottom of the tank and would never interact with the other fish. He was traumatized afterwards. Even after cleaning the tank and adding fish back in, he would stay in his cave and hide all day. But over time he grew braver, he grew a little in size and would take little trips out of his cave, always darting back when anyone walked up. More time passed and he became the boldest fish in the tank, a true war vet. He would chase after my glass scrubber so he could eat the algae behind, while all the other fish swam from the giant plastic brick. He learned that I was a source of food and would come near me to see if I would clean. Still one of the smallest fish in the tank, but he has never been bullied by the other fish nor seen bullying any of them.

>>85160739>the second you wag your finger at them they'll stop dead in their tracks and face their scolding like a manApparently most animals are like this, thousands of years of human hunting has taught them to be terrified of humans, I think there was a experiment, they played several animal vocalizations, and every animal sprinted at the sound of humans.
