It's a career that doesn't really care about your personality or anything like that. all that matters is if you can work through pain and exhaustion, that's what breaks most people and causes them to quit.

>>85205957it just depends, most pain is just the normal worn out muscles from working a lot pain, sore back, sore knees. It's cold which makes soreness worse. You can get injured but it's mostly broken fingers and shit. there can be serious injuries and also people die occasionally though more so in crab fishing.

Northern Norway is a developed region and besides being colder and having more snow than other parts of the country, it's pretty much the same as anywhere else. The Sami lives among us for the most part too, being integrated into society. The modern way to herd caribou is to use helicopters.My point is you don't have to be an Inuit to live in the arctic circle. There are plenty of non-indigenous Norwegians, Finns, Swedes and Russians up here.
