So the past 20 years of real life experience have taught me that most people prefer to avoid deep thinking.

The repeated pattern was:

I'd talk about an issue.
I'd get attacked for talking about it, or people would tell me I'm over thinking, or they'd totally ignore me.

Then several years later, often around 5 years, those same people would be start talking about the issue. And they'd be saying things like "why hasn't anyone been discussing this?!!?". And they'd only talk about it after some famous person started talking about it.

By that stage it was always too late to fix the issue and solve the problem.

From my perspective the majority of people dislike deep thinking. They just want to 'live their best life'. They hate hearing about problems and such. But when it becomes popular to talk about the problems then they talk about it and virtue signal.

I have watched almost everything steadily get worse over the past 20 years. I had people telling me to stop thinking about it. They told me things will just get better. They told me I was being a kill-joy.

From what I have seen now I believe that human beings, in the majority, are incapable of improving the way things are in any serious and significant manner. It is too late now.

A significant portion just want to watch reality tv or shortform content and ignore everything else around them.

I'm just getting this off my chest as I have decided to give up thinking about all this stuff now and to give up being so focussed on trying to help people to solve big issues. I have accepted that most people just want to bury their heads in the sand and stare at their smartphones. I have accepted that most people don't care about things like intelligence, language, and thought. I've accepted that they'll be happy if they lose all capacity for thinking and speech and writing if they can scroll and consume as much as they wish, that is all they want.

Final comment.
in 2009/2010/2011/2012 I warned people about the way the internet, social media, and phones were changing.
The responses I got from fellow millennials were dogshit. They were all giving me responses along the lines of "oh you're so negative, stop worrying so much, the progress is fantastic" over and over and over. Especially when I discussed the way this tech was going to damage relationships, damage education, and basically destroy people. The responses were still "ohh you're over-thinking things, people will be fine, tech always advances and we just adapt and live, social media is a great thing! Stop being so negative all the time! Cheer up!".

Now all these years later we have, effectively, cognitively degenerated people across the entire life-span. But especially in schools. There is active and obvious decline in intelligence, social capabilities, and general capacity for depth of thought.

Seeing human beings devalue and throw away their own minds, their quality and level of intelligence, they have thrown all that away, disrespected it, and devalued it. Seeing this has been a moral blow and psychological wound that feels almost impossible to heal from.

And now, online, I am seeing more and more people actively antagonistic towards intelligence. More and more people actively pulling others down to the lowest common denominator. The consequences of this are horrific.

Imo, the old age has gone. What could have been, in terms of potential, has been lost - destroyed, by the very people, the masses, the proles themselves.

A new age is emerging now and it is truly, and genuinely, a Dark Age.
