There are no individual toilets here; you either pay a fee you cannot afford for a broken public stall or find a hidden spot, which is humiliating and dangerous. The worst part is we work twelve hours of backbreaking manual labor for pennies, and the local slumlords or corrupt cops take a cut of whatever you manage to scrape together. It is exhausting, and one medical emergency or missed day of work means literal starvation. The thing is, I used to live in middle class lifestyle, but a series of family emergencies and deaths left me destitute and penniless. Whenever I apply to jobs, I get no response. The bad parts are mostly that we have 1st wrold proces with 3rd world wages, so things are expensive. Currency is more unstable than I would like. Crimenis rising, but it is still rather safe, and safer than the main american cities. My biggest complaint, though, is the lack of access to many products. Although our shipping systems are very developed, there are so many companies that don't sell stuff here. We are so isolated that we always get things late and Amazon is basically worthless because shipping costs are insanely high. I also don't like how we don't have a lot to offer other than raw materials. I would like to see my country invest more in R&D to make our economy more stable, like Japan did. But most of what our strategy has relied on has been on selling our best raw materials to the outside and making it so it's attractive to invest here, which is good, but makes us too dependent on outside forces. Overall, I am happy to be living here rather than a truly shit place.

I'm also glad I don't live somewhere where I'd have to wear a burqa or in India or Africa. You say that because you view all third world countries as equal but if you actually live in one, you can see that depending on the ethnicity or religion, things can get worse regardless of whether they are poor.
