tank controls are unironically my fav control method now after playing tank control games for 10ish years. They were difficult at first but you get used to them within like 1 hour. I appreciate how they enable games to use cinematic camera angles without fucking up your control and precision of the character. Playing Tomb Raider also proved to me that they are a great control scheme for precision platforming games. It is a very skill-based control scheme that visually looks nice (no bizarre jumping in animations like with an analog control scheme where you can 180 instantly) and in general I just find it enjoyable to play with

Silent Hill 2 I think is one of the best narratives I have ever engaged with. But the actual gameplay I think is very mid. The game is not challenging at all even on Hard mode. I think the level design and pacing is much weaker than SH1 also, I dont particularly like any of the locations in 2 except for the Prison which only lasts like 30 minutes. I honestly think the remake is much better as a game, its just a shame the remake isnt *quite* as perfect in how it presents the narrative althugh it does come surprisingly close.

SH3 on the other hand is a rare example of a game for me that gets better EVERY time I play through it. I think it is the most skill based SH game and every enemy encounter and interaction is so dynamic. Aesthetically and in its atmosphere it is super unique and mixes a certain flavor of early 2000s modernity in with SH1's style. I think SH1 is better paced and has better level design but SH3 has really well designed enemy encounters and difficulty scaling. Also really good item variety like the bulletproof vest which enhances Heather's defense but makes her much slower. I found it much different to SH1 and SH2 in that its horror focus is more about stressing the player out (almost like resident evil 1) by overwhelming you with large groups of powerful enemies that you need to maneuver around.

i havent tried Silent Hill F because it looks absolutely awful adn I dont like anime aesthetics. Leans too far into anime for me. If it were a more earnest, historically accurate 1950s/60s Japan setting I woudl havbe appreciated it but the schoolgirl protag + the "women are victims" storyline, i wouldnt be able to get into it. Gameplay doesnt look like its for me either. I wont play it. Sorry. I wouldnt enjot it.

doubled up gravity rush 2 cuz i consider it to be both my favourite and best. was gonna do the same with nier automata but i wanted to fit ghost of tsushima in there. not really playing anything other than ff7 remake atm, i just do my dailies in nte and ff14 and thats it.

These are more of less my favorites of all time for different reasons. I honestly think some of them are pretty shit in some respects but they gave me a unique experience at the time no other game had captured at that point. Also Capcom lives rent free in my head.

I played it a little bit when it came out but honestly forgot it even existed. I've sold my Vita by this point. It seems to be emulatable so I might check it out.
