2007-2014 internet seemed much more organized and lively compared to now. In past there were many smaller larger hubs like cities sprawled out across the net but now everything seems to be centralized in few apps with advanced algorithms where one person can switch on and off to their pleasure.

Yes, I would agree with that assessment. The consolidation of social networking has caused a type of spiritual death in the digital age as a whole.

it sort of globalized internet now 4chan is just tweets, twitter is 4chan green texts and commenting on reddit posts and vice versa. Few exceptions might be discord but you dont even control that

Yeah but the issue the feeds end up being 90% ads and content one didn't ask for, so they're functionally useless. Old internet took you where you wanted to go. New internet drives you away from it, on a side-quest to see ads for things you'll never want instead of getting you to what you do want.

pic from 2021 and it has only gotten worse

Yeah I miss theme forums.
They were comfy and had great utility of collecting, structuring and preserving knowledge.
You visit them and find threads rolling from like 2009, still available knowledge, with information you will not find anywhere else.
FAGM media? It's all crumbles to dust in couple and knowledge disappears forever.

New AI wave that replaces proper internet search with mechanical pajeet in the box blabbering is final slopisation of the internets.
