i have to read sentences over and over and over again until they enter my brain. how to tell if it's related low iq or adhd? it's like there's a big ball of cotton candy in my head. I've always had abd grades in school too.

In my experience, it's a lot worse if I'm in a frantic or distracted state (people talking, music playing, 12 tabs open, etc.) so I always bet that dopamine detox would help me read better. But I'm an incorrigible pleasure addict so I'll never know

>>85274298Fucking up something simple you can eventually do also sounds like it might be anxiety-related. If your response to knowing that you have to read is dumping enough adrenaline, it could make you rush yourself and fuck up repeatedly before you get it. I don't really know how to test for this. Maybe reading a long passage and checking your pulse? I'd expect it to get better on a long enough passage too, as your brain warms up to the adrenaline dump.Dyslexia also comes to mind, if you're basically "re-rolling" the randomization of the letters in a sentence until it comes out straight. Test for this by experimenting with a dyslexic-friendly font.
